Ortho-Keratology (Ortho-K)

Ortho-K is a procedure where contact lenses are worn overnight to reshape the front surface of the eye, the cornea. This corrects the vision in conditions such as short sightedness (myopia) so that good vision is retained during the day and night without using glasses or conventional contact lenses.

Ortho-K and Children

As well as his experience in contact lenses, Michael is also a Behavioral Optometrist who specializes in children. One of the key benefits of Ortho-K for children is that the corneal shape that is generated is effective in reducing the progression of shortsightedness.
